  7.     The youth of today may be the patrons of tomorrow, but
  8. classical music is losing those potential subscribers to rock
  9. 'n' roll. "There has been a real panic in this industry," says
  10. DAVID EATON, conductor of the New York City Symphony. Eager to
  11. reel in the younger crowd, the orchestra is trying a meeting of
  12. the minds by teaming up with the heavy-metal group ANCESTORS at
  13. Carnegie Hall next week. The concert will include three
  14. Ancestors tunes rearranged for orchestral accompaniment. "It's
  15. like a reconciliation between enemies," says lead singer Joe
  16. Longo.
